Wilderado at Madrid Theatre

This 2024, Wilderado embraces the open roads with gleeful inspiration. Clinch a spot for their new autumn-exclusive tour's opening gig on October 1st, and jam it out at the Madrid Theater LIVE in the heart of Kansas! With guest acts Ethan Tasch and The Takes, this roadshow will hit 12 cities in the United States and Canada in support of Wilderado's latest music.

The Tulsan trio has been selling out venues left and right on their recent June-July series of concerts, capping it off with a show-stealing appearance at Lollapalooza. Now, you can witness Max Rainer's voice, backed by Tyler Wimpee on guitar and Justin Kila on drums, as they guide you into daydreams of summer.

Wilderado has imparted proud Oklahoman twang onto the indie rock scene, giving us Top 10 Alternative Radio hits "Surefire" and "Head Right." They have been enjoying much acclaim through the years with a successful string of EPs (Singles, Latigo, Favors) and solo releases (Revenant, Take Some Time, Mr. Major), growing a passionate following that earned them over 200 MILLION streams across platforms. If you've seen this year's box office hit, "Twisters," then you're surely thrilled to meet the band behind its adrenaline pumping cover of "Wall of Death!"

Wilderado's kick-off concert will feature tracks from their sophomore LP, Talker, which drops under Bright Antenna Records on the 20th of September. Here, fans will have the privilege of experiencing an album that "Feels like home," one that taps intot he band's small-town origins with a passion that weathers storms (and tornados!).

"I’m not here to preach at you. I’m not here to teach you anything. I’m here to observe," Rainer said of what he wants to convey with "Talker."

The evening will also include an opener from rising star Ethan Tasch, whose indie singles "Whattaya Say" and "He's Getting Away!" have been the talk of the town after the deluxe release of his debut album, Got Him! Joining him is Portland-based quartet The Takes, torchbearers of the Pacific Northwest's rock traditions and admirers of folksy escapism, offering songs from their 2024 twin EPs, Lay Hold and 15 Minutes Smog Check.
